South Allington is a hamlet nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty, between Start Point and Prawle Point. It is ideally situated for the beach and scenic coastal walks – the secluded and family-friendly Lannacombe Beach is a mere five minutes drive away.

South Allington House is the perfect destination for all holidaymakers, whether it be families looking for beaches and fun on the water, and cyclists wanting to explore the safe country lanes, through to walkers and ramblers who are looking to venture on to the South West Coast Path and perhaps spot some wildlife in its natural habitat.

We can offer advice on where to eat, where to shop, where to cycle and where to walk - just ask and we will do our best to help!

The picturesque town of Salcombe is nearby for sailing, fishing and watersports, and Thurlestone is famous for its golf course.

The market town of Kingsbridge is seven miles away, and can provide plenty of entertainment, with a leisure centre, swimming pool and museum, as well as pubs and restaurants to suit every taste and budget.

The historic naval town of Dartmouth is within easy reach, offering a famous yearly Regatta, as well as spectacular trips up the River Dart to the cosmopolitan town of Totnes.

There is a seasonal shop at East Prawle (1.5 miles), a bakery and post office in Frogmore (3 miles), and a petrol station and store at East Charleton (4 miles), whilst Kingsbridge offers the usual facilities, including banks, supermarket and individual shops.
