South Allington is a hamlet nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty, between Start Point and Prawle Point. It is ideally situated for the beach and scenic coastal walks – the secluded and family-friendly Lannacombe Beach is a mere five minutes drive away.

The market town of Kingsbridge is seven miles away, and can provide plenty of entertainment, with a leisure centre, swimming pool and museum, as well as pubs and restaurants to suit every taste and budget.

The historic naval town of Dartmouth is within easy reach, offering a famous yearly Regatta, as well as spectacular trips up the River Dart to the cosmopolitan town of Totnes.

There is a seasonal shop at East Prawle (1.5 miles), a bakery and post office in Frogmore (3 miles), and a petrol station and store at East Charleton (4 miles), whilst Kingsbridge offers the usual facilities, including banks, supermarket and individual shops.
