The picturesque town of Salcombe is nearby for sailing, fishing and watersports, and Thurlestone is famous for its golf course.
The market town of Kingsbridge is seven miles away, and can provide plenty of entertainment, with a leisure centre, swimming pool and museum, as well as pubs and restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
The historic naval town of Dartmouth is within easy reach, offering a famous yearly Regatta, as well as spectacular trips up the River Dart to the cosmopolitan town of Totnes.
There is a seasonal shop at East Prawle (1.5 miles), a bakery and post office in Frogmore (3 miles), and a petrol station and store at East Charleton (4 miles), whilst Kingsbridge offers the usual facilities, including banks, supermarket and individual shops.

Turn off the A38 for Buckfastleigh, Totnes and Kingsbridge, and follow signs for Kingsbridge, and follow signs for Kingsbridge.
In Kingsbridge take the A379 main Dartmouth road.
Having passed through Frogmore turn right over the bridge signposted East Prawle.
Follow signs for East Prawle as far as Chivelstone Cross, turn left and we are ½ mile on the right.
